From the start, concerts and unique live performance events have been the heartbeat of Music in Common. Performing in a range of configurations from acoustic duo to eight-piece band, in 2026 Music in Common shifted its focus to touring as an acoustic trio that creatively blends Americana, Hip-Hop, and Soul.
Since 2005, Music in Common performances have been creating impactful communities of connection between artist and audience and audience with each other. From house concerts to colleges, performing arts centers, and large festival stages, MIC has performed for thousands of people in more than 400 communities worldwide. A nonprofit organization, Music in Common has worked extensively throughout the U.S. Middle East, and Far East curating experiences for people across divides to find common ground through music and facilitated conversation. Culling from the nearly 100 songs that have come out of these programs, MIC performances leave audiences inspired, hopeful, and connected. The venues we perform at are as diverse as the musicians in the band and the people in the audience. Festivals, performing arts centers, universities, coffeehouses, music clubs, street corners, houses of worship, living rooms, community centers, and even a bomb shelter are just a sampling of the places where we've made music (see venue listing below). But the common denominator between them all is audience members connecting with one another, leaving our shows inspired and hopeful.
Music in Common's genre-bending concerts showcase the many songs that have come out of our programs as well as originals written by band members and select covers aligned with the spirit of MIC to connect and uplift. Contact us to learn how we can bring a show to your community.
