Host a Film Screening
Music in Common has produced two short documentary films, From Madness To Music (23 minutes) and Amplified: Young Voices Rising, (11 minutes) that illustrate the process and impact of our programs through the stories and experiences of our team as well as the youth and communities we serve.
Film screenings can be hosted in homes, houses of worship, community centers or other locations.
We will provide the information and tools to assist you in hosting a fun, engaging and successful event. Whenever possible, a MIC team member will attend the event and be available for a Talk Back after the films.
Please email us if you are interested in hosting a Music In Common Film Screening.
Host a Benefit Concert
Raise the MiC events are concerts by bands and musicians who designate one of their performances as a benefit for Music in Common. These can be organized by musicians, organizations, or community members. They may be shows already scheduled or those organized specifically for this purpose.
We will provide the guidance and materials you need to make this a fun, engaging, and successful event. The event can be combined with a film screening, if desired.
The objective of Raise the MIC is two-fold; to raise money for Music in Common programs and to build a community of participating artists joining together against hate.
