The 2017 MIC Summer Program is a residential program taking place from July 9 - 30 for youth ages 15 - 20. Participants will spend two weeks on the magnificent Darrow School campus in New Lebanon, NY rehearsing a set of 15 songs written by other Music in Common students in our JAMMS programs. The group will write and record their own song and produce a video, as well. Then they will hit the road for a one week tour of performances throughout the northeast which is tentatively scheduled to extend south to Atlanta.
Program participants come from diverse backgrounds including Christian, Muslim, Jewish, immigrant, refugee, and multi-generational American, resulting in a deeply immersive, inter-cultural experience.
